    interesting , they use lots of big gizzard shad here and buffalo cut bait for blue cats around here too, but they do not target them till winter time in these parts much ....

    I trim a sabiki rig down to a length that can be cast easily and tip it with a 1/2oz chrome/green dressed spoon. The added weight helps to get some distance.
