Default Limb lines in flooded rivers

Getting close to time when Catfish will move up smaller flooded rivers . We like to bait limblines along the banks here when rivers are high . Just a heavy line with a big lead weight and a large stainless steel hook . Usually bait with live Sunfish hooked through the eyes. Sure fun when you see those limbs bouncing . Great way to fill the freezer with Catfish fillets and have plenty to share. Here is a couple I caught last year.

Some nice catches. Certainly is exciting to see those limbs shaking up ahead

I would bait just before the tide started to fall. They would feed heavily until it went slack. Limb lines are certainly fun

My uncle & his buddy are running lines here this week. Saw them yesterday on the water & they had mostly channel cats & blues.
