Default Saw a new way to catfish?

I was at Reelfoot Lake this past weekend. I was coming in after fishing and passing a cove saw these 2 gentleman collecting plastic rings about 10 to 12 in diameter with a curved arm going up to the center of the ring and had yoyo's attached. It made me think it was a cross from limb lines and jug fishing! Anyone know about these devices??

I haven't seen those. I do remember they used to have a yo-bob. It was a yoyo attached to a float. Now I have to do some research

Black Swans Info Video - YouTube this is a link to what they call a black swan. Looks pretty neat. There is a website listed but it is a open name now. They look to have been sold in kits of 20 in a mesh decoy bag

I have some of those stuck up in my shop some where. Made them out of black plastic water line then added smal sections of pool noodle. They are a lot of fun on small oxbows I used to be able to fish around here. But they are like jug fishing gets to be work pretty quick chasing them around. One good thing is you can pull up in shallow water and just sit one down over a short stickup and let it fish. Caught a lot of crappie on them like that.

Oh, that looks like the floating version of an ice fishing tip up rig: https://fishingandhuntingheaven.com/...ages/30191.jpg
