    Default Catfish baits and rigging

I usually use dip bait and nightcrawlers but I always catch small Channel Cats Wherever I Go

You are using baits that channel cats eat. If you want to catch blues or flatheads, use natural baitfish such as shad or skipjack or bluegill.

If you want bigger fish, use bigger baits. Big fish do eat small baits, but small fish can't get big baits in their mouths.

I have wrapped them in mess or panty hose to keep them on the hook in the past

I have also set them out in the sun on some foil and let them dry out some and become leathery. That works pretty good also
