    Default Morman cricket's

Anybody use them for catfish? They are plenty popular on the Brownlee Res. I've seen some, my son got some several years ago over there and did catch some cats on them. Ya buy them frozen! I guess the only thing as popular over there is crappie guts. For some reason Brownlee Res is the only place I've ever heard of them>

They're actually not a "cricket", but a Shieldbacked Katydid. It takes it's name (Morman Cricket) from the Mormans of Idaho encountering them and the 1848 "Miracle of the Gulls" where the insects were devastating crops until Gulls flocked in and saved them.

Just a little FYI that I thought was interesting.
