Tried salt with the chicken liver and didn't care for the texture. I think you could use pretty much anything with the gauze tube bag!
old stockings/ hose work good but be sure to throw away any evidence .

Ya know, I really like catfish but they eat about anything. Got some hot dog's and kool aide, your good to go. Got some liver that went bad, catfish love it. Stink bait I've never used but where do you think this stuff appears naturally in the water? Thinking about trying some cat turd's dipped in cow manure and garlic! :-) Wait a min. It's hot dogs and jello I'm trying this time. Bet kool aide would work though!

I told Trypman to use his wife's pantyhose while fishing for Catfish and I saw him on the lake later that day. He was wearing her pantyhose and shorts.
I may be getting older but I refuse to grow up.

When I lived on the gulf coast, we used frozen squid,
Sometimes we would catch two fish at a time.

Put lots of salt on them in the fridge and freeze them the next day then they work great when you use them.
Vacuum pack them and then they even work better.
Let us know how it work for you.

Has anyone tried sardine'? Picked up a couple cans at the Safeway today to try. Probably need to put them in a net.

I've thought about them before. They are super oily and smell alot, although I love eating them! Would have to be in a net bag or panty hose or something similar to keep them together and on the hook.

I'm inspired now. I'm going to do a test next time I go for channels. Sardines in a mesh bag and jello hot dogs and see which one works better!
