    Default Fish San

I fish san diego lakes mainly and not too much crappie talk out here, they are on the lookout for the next world record or all the trout guys in the winter. I grew up in Kentucky and there is not a big interest for crappie. All the lakes do good on crappie but my favorite it lake henshaw on the hwy. 76 by palomar mountain.

Yes I have heard of henshaw =)
I didn't get a chance to fish it, however I did fish a lake in the mountains, my bud introduced me to, I can't remember the name now, but it was cold up there, and there were a limit on crappie, I didnt believe it. I have know crappie fishing to be decent in San Diego, but not great, but never the less 25 per limit, The call of the day were jigs
and we killed them, both caught limits within one hour, we unloaded and came back and limited again, it was amazing, but we later found out the crappie were pretty much stuned as they were all about the same size (about 1 lb ish) I remember they were hitting on pretty much any jig.
But i have good crappie fishing memmories from San Diego area.

    good fishing
