This is the Stockton newspaper, and they usually have a fairly good report on where the fishing is hot. They tell about lakes, rivers, the bay, and the ocean.

Hey Sonar Mark.....I live in Sacramento but want to do more crappie fishing locally (delta, Napa area, Valley). I just got back from 9 days of fishing in Arkansas and had a great time catching crappie when we did. My Mom's side is from Shreveport so I have been there and have crappie fished on Cross Lake 3 or 4 times. Lots of fun and of course my great grandfather always caught all the fish as he was so good at flippin up under the boat houses. If the water was high I had almost no chance if the fish weren't out on the edges.
Haha...just saw the original posts of this thread were in 2007.
guess there isnt too many California crappie fishers...
About once or twice a month during the warmer weather.
