Dave, those are some real nice trout that you have there. Yes I would say it is worth the hike. I will be working on that (hiking) Thanks for sharing the pictures...
Bill, yes I really like Twin Lakes, have caught some nice browns and kok's from there. I downloaded the brookie picture, if you want a trophy brook trout, try Kirman out of Bridgeport. It's a 3 mile hike-in to the lake and has special regulations, but large brookies, have caught them up to 4#. average 2-3#. Dave.Originally Posted by wrwest

Wassupp people...
Im Chan from the bay area also. favorite place to fish for crappies is Lake Nicasio Reservior in Marin County. Just fished there a few days ago and i caught my limit in just about an hour. they have plenty of crappies in that lake along with BASS, BLUE GILLS, CARPS, CAT FISH and some more other smaller fishes.
Hi there Chan, welcome to the board. I make a run up to the Feather and Sacramento each year in the fall looking for salmon. I am thinking about doing a little crappie fishin while I up that way.

Nice Brookies!
Just got back from L. Shasta. DID land a couple crappie as incidentals.
Lazy reporting.

We live in Petaluma (near Nicascio ) and target crappie occasionally. We are fortunate to have access to many farm ponds locally that produce many fine BG's and LM's.
