Zig zag cleats hold pretty well.
I have been using anchor pulleys for years but, during the fall a barge got to close for comfort and was about to cut my anchor line. I need to be able to release the rope quickly ,buoy or float will be attached. Then return to retrieve it once out of a hazardous situation. The open base cleats that come standard on the boat would create a trip hazard if mounted to the bow, needing recommendation for low profile with good hold on rope.
options: Cam Cleat (how well do they hold the rope)
Zigzag Cleat Plastic or Stainless

I’ve got a stainless zigzag on my bow and it holds the anchor line very well and can be quickly released if something goes down and you need to bail out quickly & come back for the anchor.
