Skeetbum - good eyes, in those pics, no it didn't. The stringers and knee braces now have a couple layers of 1708 on them.

I can’t tell enough about the sealant from the pictures to make a recommendation. I’m assuming the black “stuff” is what you’re wanting to remove?

i have no idea what they use to bond the two surfaces. Is it pliable or rigid?

I would think so. A razor scraper would get most of it off

I'll try that , thank you!

I was just looking at the boat. Found an old cooler laying around, it's an ugly one, never gets used. Around a 24-30 quart, getting a game plan on how to incorporate it.
Also, getting a feel for how I want to install some conduit, between the hull and gunwale, both sides. For current and future wiring.
I'm planning on going to a local boat show, next Friday. Going solely to look at how boats are wired (location of fuse block), switches, layout, etc.
I'm starting to feel excited !

Disclaimer.... this could damage the finish.

You could try a wire brush on a drill or a nylon cup brush.

I thought about that, wondered if it get hot, clog it up.
I had some time this afternoon, got about 75% of it removed with a scraper and razor blade. Removed the old registration numbers also.
