Made up some knee braces, drilled a hole in them, for passing wires through. Hopefully that will help stiffen the transom. Thoughts?
Got some other boards cut. And some sanding done. I'll be glad when the sanding is done! It coats everything in that building.

The gussets dang sure can't hurt. Are you going to wrap all that wood in fiberglass?

I've already coated the stringers with resin. The stringers I'll put 1708 fabric halfway up them. All new wood I'll coat with resin.

How cold is "too cold" to mix resin, and have it kick off? With no special additives. I have a couple days off next week. Unfortunately, the forecast is cooling off.
I'm working in an enclosed carport, that's somewhat insulated. At lower temperatures, I'll be lucky to get it too 45-50°.

I wouldn't do any glass work under 45 degrees. Anyway to heat up the garage?

I have heaters in the garage. The issue will be keeping it at 55°+.
I emailed the company, for working with
    - epoxy - above 55°.
    - polyester - above 65°.

Hopefully the weatherman will change the forecast!
It's my own fault, shouldn't have lost the gumption for working on it the past couple of months. Oh well, live and learn! No regerts!

I was wanting to use these seats for driver and passenger seats. Was thinking about a plate to mount them to. With the plate mounted to a hinge, so underseat storage is still available.
    Thoughts ?
I like the fact that they will dry quick.

Couple of friends have mounted them like that in bass boats. Work just fine. Make you a plate out of aluminum, glue a gasket around outer edge and use a aluminum piano hinge.

Didn't think about a gasket. Thanks!
