    Default Boarding aids

I now have trouble getting into and out of the boat when on the trailer. At a dock I'm fine but out of the water is a problem. I have thought about a step stool but that seems like a last resort. Have any of you with similar trouble found a good solution?

I've got one on the side of my trailer and it makes a big difference. I had to mount it upside down because it was too high off the ground in the normal position.
I mounted it towards the front of the trailer where the frame curves in so it didn't stick out too far and become a shin buster.
Here's a link to one like mine. I just turned it upside down to get the right height and mines on the side instead of up front.

I have a step similar to the one Ray posted. I built it myself out of some flat stock and the battery box step off a big truck. About level with tongue of trailer. Is perfect for me to get in or out off front of boat. Lot safer when loading on trailer and getting out.

Here is what I put on mine. I got it from Easystepsystem.com. They make them to fit your specific boat and trailer.

I really like my Easy Steps. I’m 225lbs and clumsy as a cross-eyed donkey climbing into the boat on the ramp, they’ve saved my butt on more than one occasion.
