Default need more power from terrova trolling motor

I have a terrova 12 volt about 50 pound thrust that I would like to install a bigger motor and go 24 volt. Can this be done without frying the I pilot and the directional motor? I think it will work but need the advise of the professionals..THANKS

I don't think the circuitry in the board is designed to handle the extra current.

If by chance the boards are the same part number, then it might work.

$800 to convert to 24 volt. Probably gonna put this one on our pontoon and get new for fishing boat. Anyone running motorbike with remote? How does it compare with min kota?
