    Default Terrova 80

I currently run old school. Riptide 70# hand control. I am thinking about upgrading to an 80# terrova with I pilot and foot control. I know they come with a remote but I'd also like the foot pedal. First question is. Will it mount up in previous mounting holes? Also, what's everyone's experience with these? Any help or info is greatly appreciated.

They come with both. Best boat purchase I've made. If I had to choose between it and my fish-finder, it would win hands down.

I'm just like EWS. Take anything but my terrova. To answer your other question I don't think the holes will align. I had a friend make me a plate from 5/16 aluminum, drilled holes to align with old holes, turned plate over and counter sunk 2 holes they mounted the terrova. Put plate on and bolted down with those bolts sticking up. Set terrova on it then drilled holes on front through the plate where it stuck over bow. Been like that for 4 years or more.

You may not like the foot control.

I would agree, the foot control is not good. I am just using the remote

What exactly is the issue with the foot control?

Foot control on Terrova is electric, you have to step on right or left button to turn, then go back to the power button to proceed. For me, it is easier to use the remote.
