    Default Pontoon Transom Saver

I bought a pontoon with a 115 Yamaha 4 stroke. Do I need a transom saver on the motor?

I would use one if it was mine. Friend has a toon with same motor and uses one. Remember motor may be blocked up but that transom is not much support and will flex quite a bit. Another friend has a toon and never used a support with 90 merc and had to replace motor mount section because of cracks.

I would recommend it, too. I repair boats and engines, and have seen those cracks described above. Cheap insurance!
