Default Mounting transducer on new boat (Lowe Stinger)

Just got a new boat and need to start getting it fish ready. Want to add transducer to back of boat. Have an HB 898c HD SI Combo. Any suggestions? Would like to get this right first time without drilling more holes than needed.

Anyone heard of a plastic block that you glue to hull and then mount transducer to block?

Any Stinger owners out there who can post a pic?

    Thanks,

    Danny

I have used a piece of rot resistant wood that I clamped to the transom.

Sternmate.com Have not used so can't say if it's any good on aluminum boats.

Went with the SternMate. This is how it will look... (Still waiting for adhesive to cure)
