I have used many of rods over the years and for casting it’s Pro Angler. Like $50-60 shipped. Best I have found.

    I’m different!
I want something with a lot of back bone so when I feel that thump I can horse him out from under a dock or a tree if I need to. and still have good sensitivity . and to me it’s hard to beat the Wally Marshall 7’ speed shooter ! absolutely love em ! ! I use it for every application Second would be my pro angler!

Man I tell you what. It’s hard to put my sharpshooter down too. I use it all the time as well. I brought in a 5lb bass with that rod.

My goto rod is a Norseman Power light 6' foot with Tennessee rings. It has a Pfluger President XT on it.

Next is a 6'6" Cashion CRT with a Diawa Revros.

3rd is a 5'6" Pro Tackle Angler with a President. That rod is built like a battleship.

BnM makes a great rod. I own a few different ones. I like the Sam's super sensitive. I has a cut away on the rod blank that you can put your finger on and really feel the fish if they aren't smashing the baits.

I don't think I have a favorite rod. I don't care to pay for expenssive rods. Picked up and handled a few and can't tell the difference between them and similar rods. I think my most used rod is an OkumaCE-S 602UL FOR 1-4# line and I use 2# line on it. Have a Shakespere, Berkley Cherrywood and coupke other's I also like. Well, must be my Okuma as I never let anyone borrow it!
