2lb for 1/32oz jigs?

I couldn't see the smaller line until I bought something called HatEyes. Clips to my visor and I flip it down. 2.5X magnification and it works great.

OK my bad. Went out in the yard/snow with a tape measure. I am actually getting approximately 40 feet a cast. Anything to be gained by going to 2 lb?

Whats wrong with 40' cast's? You trying to catch fish or see how far you can cast? If you get a 12' rod you'll get about 46' casts! :-)
