They will be moving shallow soon. Water temps in the 50's ans they will be up shallow.
Yesterday I tried this method I used a B/G baby shad in monkey milk the bobber was one of them 3 way bobbers I really like them, makes it easy to change or take off. little girl had same bobber but I put a johnson pink head white body I want to say it was a marabou jig pink crappie nibble thought that would be prefect for a 4 year old, Mimi was helping her. water is clear here.
It was super windy not sure we would have caught any thing any way but i know the main mistake i was on the wrong side of the lake the wind was at our back. i think the bait fish would be on the other side but I cant just wonder through peoples yards to get over there. I should have found a different lake to fish. I need to get my other rod and reel set up get a fish finder on the boat and serious. just be nice to get some from the bank for the grand kids.
Question:
when you guys say fishing shallow. what is the range in fow?
Is the 5 foot + or - 1 foot a good start?
thanks

The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
Thanks, I may try a smaller lake this evening after the kids leave. I am blessed to live in a area where I have assess to several lakes from big to small with in a few miles. I just need to get out there to fish and learn!
would a beetle spin or road runner be good now or stick with jig an flote till it warms up?
Yep, thats my problem lately, Getting out there to fish. My joints hate cold damp days and give me heck. Was headed out this morning and it was raining and 54*. stayed in and drank coffee and checked my computer, till I started to get a headache from my good eye getting tired. Be glad to get this surgery done...
