    Default Hard rod case for travel


    Planning a trip to Weiss lake
    looking for a hard case to store my poles in while traveling.
    probably a couple 6 foot poles

    what do y’all use?

    I use schedule 40 PVC pipe, cheap and easy to find.

    Rod Shipping tubes cheap and sturdy will hold multiple rods but PVC makes a good case also.

    What they said.
    I also use an old tackle box that will hold the reels and put bubble wrap in with them. Traveled by car from Illinois to the Canadian border and back about 3 times without a single mark.

    My buddy has a different approach. Instead of packing for traveling he just buys new ones when he gets there. What a silly boy Hard rod case for travel

    pvc pipe and a couple caps is what I use for travel if need be.
