    Default Trolling

Is it the wrong time of year to troll or long line. New to this and can’t seem to catch anything. Thanks

Might depend on which "trolling" method you use ... Spider Rigging - Pushing - Longline - Drifting ... but, will definitely depend on where the fish are : open water under Shad schools - in the timber/brush - shallow or deep. It may also depend on the lake, the water temps, if there's still a thermocline, if there's a turnover taking place (or done), and the layout of the lake (as far as "obstructions" you have to negotiate).

Check your State Forum & see how other members are fishing the lakes in your area (or the specific lake you fish) and also check out how other boats on the lake are fishing. The more of them you see using the same method, the more likely that's the one most successful (not always, but likely).
