Default Battery Tender for 24v trolling motor

I am upgrading from 12v trolling motor to a 24v. So the new batteries will be wired in series. What is the best battery tender/maintainer solution? Do I get one 24v maintainer or a dual 12v and disconnect the wire that puts them in series? I prefer to have everything hard wired and just plug the extension cord in after a day of fishing, just not sure if that is the best option.

Any advice on brands and models of maintainer is also appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

Get a 2 bank onboard charger. You wire one set of leads to one battery and the other set to other battery 12 volt. No need to disconnect jumper wire. They will charge separately. Jut plug in and forget. Minn Kota, promariner, dual pro guest, NoCo. All good chargers. I’d go NoCo.

I have the MinnKota Precision 3 bank. It charges and maintains my T.M batteries (wired in series 24v) and my starting battery. All I do is plug it up and forget about it. When I get ready to go, I just unplug it and go fishing. Had it about 3 years, no problems.

I have a pro mariner charging system, plug up when you get home, unplug to go fishing. It maintains and conditions the batteries. I check water level about every 6 months and use a battery fill jug that I bought for the golf cart to top batteries off.

You may want to consider a 3 bank charger. You will want to have your two TM batteries dedicated for your 24 volt system with a single separate 12 volt cranking battery. You can charge both batteries wired in a series off one bank and use the other for the cranking battery with a 2 bank charger, like Cray mentioned. If your a long liner or crank bait puller then your batteries will be real low at the end of a long day and the one bank may not charge you up overnight. If this is not a concern then carry on with the two bank. I have a 24 volt TM system and use a NOCO 3 bank charger, two banks for both tm batteries and one for the cranking battery.
