    Make sure there isn't too much slack because their mouths are soft so it can tear right through. Check this out if you need tips

    Yep, that is the ticket! Nesting crappie definitely can be fished with a fly rod. As Death said, bluegills and smallies on a 3 or 5 weight are an absolute blast. Incredible fun. This past summer was a test of whether my carpal (both wrists) could stand up ok spin fishing without having surgery, and happily went well. This year I may breAk out my 3 weight. Topwater with a flyrod is a heart attack with every cast. Can’t be beat!
