    Default COVID-19 Self-Quarantine Automotive Project. What’s Yours?

Picked up this 1990 GEO Tracker Gem with a blown motor in Tennessee last year for $400. Found one wrecked in PA for $250 also. Our self quarantine since early this spring gave me time to focus on rebuilding the good engine and swapping everything out.

The original blue Tracker didn’t have power steering so I added that, The engine was rebuilt from the block up with all new gaskets, sensors, hoses, fluids, filters etc. All that’s left on the engine side of things are new o-rings on the A.C. hoses. I eliminated the catalytic converter and re- welded new exhaust also.

Now for the body work and paint. The frame and underbody are rust free. A few dings here and there. The drivers fender and door are wrinkled but I have rust free replacements from the other Tracker.

nice project to occupy yourself during this nonsense. many of us USED to work on cars when we could get to the engines. Good for you and that should be fun to wheel around in.
