I’m at cleaning station and a guy comes in and dumps 30 crappie on table. Lady says wow a little over the limit! Guy says caught them rereg pool where 30 is legal. Lady says if warden shows how you going to prove you got them at rereg. Guy says let him prove I didn’t. Ok lake lawyers how bout that.

This was on Southfork Resorts blog/fishing report

    Never trust a "lake lawyer".
I'll smoke just about anything (in my smoker)
The fishing is always great. The catching varies.

If the cleaning stations are on a floating dock, you'd be in possession of more than the daily limit on the water. There probably isn't a length limit below the dam either so you could have short fish in the pile as well. The burden of proof isn't on where you caught them in this case because the rule is "in possession" on a body of water with those regulations.

The proof would be a simple cell picture showing you had thirty and were on Main lake cleaning station where 15 is limit. Why put the agent in a pickle and having to make a decision? they have a tough job and that guy is asking for a big fine even if he didn't do anything wrong. Barry story doesn't say whether it was public CS or at a private one at resort or house. Oh well as you so correctly put it, why take a chance?

limit is on the water you are on, easy to understand, If I catch 15 on pomm, leave in live well, move to stockton, catch 15 at daily limit for state, but over limit on stockton,,,, limit is on the water you are on. easy peasy.

Walk off a few steps and pretend to dial your cell phone, speak softly some gibberish that the offender can't hear. You will often get some interesting results. Or start taking pictures of the person and the cleaning table, equally interesting results.

Keep in mind they may be mark that you don't see. you have to identify your fish I cut the tail or fin .
