Default Placing Stake beds, artificial Structure, etc.

Well this is an avenue I started to explore awhile ago as in like 5 or so years ago and never went anywhere with it. Now that I have more time, I’m looking back into it. What are the rules or regs for an individual to place crappie habitat in lakes to help better the habitat or what are the proper channels to go through to participate in something like this?

The fisheries biologist could probably tell you how to go about it.

Fish and Game would be another good source to ask. They will be the ones to enforce those regulations if there are any

    huntnfishnguy2014,

The best approach would be to contact the District Fisheries Biologist that manages the water body in which you are interested in. Habitat construction guidelines can vary among state fishing lakes, city/county lakes, and federal reservoirs.

You can find the local fisheries biologist by clicking on the preferred county on the following link on the KDWP website. County Information / Locations / KDWP Info / KDWP - KDWP

    Hope this helps!
