    That's a Logperch .... but, which one of the 11 known species it is

    That is an Ozark Logperch. There are two species of Logperch commonly found in Kansas: the Ozark and the Bigscale Logperch. The difference between the two is the Ozark does not have scales on top of it's head, the stripes extend closer to the belly, and the one that gave it away in this picture is the presence of an orange stripe on its dorsal fin.
