The upcoming habitat day at Hillsdale is a cooperative effort between KDWPT and the Corps of Engineers. The COE served as the point of contact for those wanting information which is why I only listed COE on the post above.

I've been sinking brush at El Dorado for years through numerous projects and will continue to do so as time and conditions allow. Anglers can also apply for a Fish Habitat Construction Permit at El Dorado so they can place their own habitat of approved materials in approved areas of the lake.

I've called the Hillsdale COE office a couple of times this morning with no answer. When you talked to Jim Bell did he indicate if you needed to bring a PFD, waders or tools? Should we expect to be there all day?
Thanks Craig for letting us know about this!

Thanks for the info, I drove out but they had finished for the day. Got HD point a little after three. No one there, at Marysville, the park office or the corp office. I will try Marysville again in the morning.

I went back out Saturday and had an enjoyable day. They were putting in trees for the crappie spawn. I was surprised there were not more crappie guys there. They mostly talked bass fishing! Our "new" biologist said he had been here three years. I enjoyed working with him! Wish I hadn't got my wires crossed, I should have been there Friday.
