    Default White Bass at Smithville

I'm catching fewer and smaller White Bass at Smithville. Is it just me or has something changed?

I've been doing well on days with some wind on the main lake points. I've been in quite a few nice schools. One was almost 2 acres in size! I was using my favorite jigging spoon and only catching small ones. Switched to a 3" swim bait and started catching nice fish under the little ones. It was a good shad production year though and when there are lots of shad the white bass don't have to school up and push the shad as hard. It does make it harder fishing.

That makes sense because they seem more dispersed. Glad to know they are still out there and the problem is I didn't adapt my tactics.
