Shad?
A gun, like any other source of power, is a force for either good or evil, being neither in itself, but dependent upon those who possess it

It appears to be a mooneye. The dorsal and anal fins appear to be even at their starting points. The goldeye has the dorsal fin start behind the anal fin.

We always called them goldeye herring.Would catch them on water break lines between slow and faster water (below a island) on a bobber with worms about 2-3 foot deep. They die easily, have soft flesh, and when you fillet them they are deluxe blue cat bait.None better....We may have been calling them by the wrong name but sure enjoyed fishing with them
