Default Wappapello Lake Crappie Public Meetings

Wappapello Anglers, MDC will be hosting three public meetings in May to discuss the current crappie situation at the lake. We will be presenting our findings on the evaluation of the 9-inch minimum length limit and a solution to help alleviate some of the current issues. We will be garnering public input and addressing any questions or concerns. I look forward to seeing many of you at the meetings and feel free to call me if you have any questions.

Thanks Dave. Wish the flood wouldn’t have killed that last year. Trevor

Trevor, it was unfortunate we couldn't have these meetings last year. Now that our new administration has settled in, I have high hopes that we are going revisit this topic in the fall. The Commission will be reviewing this issue in July and hopefully we will get the ok to move forward on this topic. If we do get approval to move forward, there will likely be opportunity for public meetings. I will keep everyone posted and let everyone know when I find out more on this topic. In the meantime, if anglers have any questions or concerns they can contact me directly.

Thanks Dave. Talk to you soon. Hope you got my email a couple weeks ago about my missed call. Trevor
