I noticed that this thread is several years old but a buddy and I were talking about Clear Lake the other day. We've both heard there is a launch fee but they weren't sure if it was a "locals only" fishing lake. Anyone been over that way lately or know if this is public fishing or not?

    Thanks for the info.

Been there several times. The lake is about 8 foot deep fish normally on the bottom in the hot summer. Last time I went over there the biggest a caught was about 8 inches. It’s been bad for the last couple of years. Fish very heavy by locals. There’s a five dollar launching fee.
