I drove down by clear lake today, it looked like the launch was at a place called charlie's bait? Is that correct? did not look like alot of parking
Due to convenience, I fish Clear Lake quite a bit. The fishing has been pretty tough this year and it has not produced very well due to the muddy water.
For me, this has been a crappy, crappie season to this point. It seems that when I have the opportunity to go it's either raining, the wind blowing 25 mph, post front with falling temps, rising and, or muddy water. Maybe conditions will fall into place for us soon and we will all be burning up our fillet knives. :D

You Can Make a Difference!
I use the ramp at Scott's bait shop on Hwy 161. The cost is $5.00 to use the concrete ramp and park in their lawn, I mean yard.
charlie's bait, scott's bait... That was the first ime I was down there, could not find the plum bayou g&F launch, but didn't look too hard. Saw 1 boat tout there and 1 guy fishing on bank, not much action though.

Keeping going past clear lake about a mile and immediately after you cross the next bridge, which is plum bayou, you will turn left on Allison Road, you should see a AGFC Sign for Plum Bayou. The access is a few miles down Allison road on your left.
anyone going to be down there sat morning? i think im gonna head that way.
im going to clear lake saturday morning, i went 2 weeks ago and only caught 5 but they were 1 1/2 to 2 lbs in bout 5ft water
there 2 ramps on clear lake,, one is in the 1st curve coming from england theres a trailer and a barn with a level concrete ramp. the one by the bait shop is kinda steep.. ive launched my bass boat at the 1st ramp, i kinda like it better.
