    Default Beat the storm

Don’t get to fish much anymore and miss reading about my favorite lake - so I will break the ice - went to fish the Cove at Gold Creek this am. Boats were plenty >10 at one point even a family boat on the water. Everyone around me was courteous. Bite was lite. I found them on the bottom around brush. Wt/chart and orange/chart. Tipped with a salad shrimp got more bites than minnow Name: IMG_1183.jpg

Thanks for the report. Will keep the Salad shrimp tipping in mind.

Nice RLS. I too fished a creek off of Conway this weekend. The bite was slow but managed 10 with 5 keepers in a couple of hours. Caught them on Bobby garland baby shad in albino shad color with a pink jig head.

May try that shrimp during bream spawn. Gets pretty competitive buying crickets at times and I stink catching bream on jigs!

I do pretty good on the blue gills casting a black hair jig with white legs. Using a bobber. Catch some big red ear too
