When it is cold enough to freeze your braid into the line guides. That happens to be 18 degrees with a light breeze here in Tennessee

Saturday I fished and it was 14 when I arrived at the ramp. The ramp was so slick with ice I was concerned that my truck, trailer and boat would slide into the lake. And then after we backed into the watermy boat was frozen to the bunks. We had to sit in the water on the trailer for 10 mins before the boat would slide off the trailer.

And then we did'nt catch many fish.....

I had some rock salt in the truck in case the ramp was iced. I took that ride before Christmas. We were about a mile from the ramp. You could hear the trucks reving the engines trying to get back up the ramp after it had built up some ice
