    You must have snagged it cause they are filter feeders . I know most places in Arkansas not protected but limit of two . I have caught them snagging but never on accident . Have caught lots of Catfish , Drum , Carp , Buffalo and Gar just to name a few big ones on a jig pole . Here are few things I have caught with a jig and pole while Crappie fishing .

    Caught one at Sardis Lower Lake about 10 years ago. Snagged it and thought I was hung up until it started moving.
