For years it was spider rigging will deplete the fish out of a lake nimrod preached. Now it’s livescope. What matters is people who fish every day keeping fish to give friend who fish or whatever reason they have to keep the fish. In reality if people just keep what they can eat and let other go and quit raping the lakes and let nature take the course.

I was told life expectancy for crappie are about 3-4 years. So if you wait too long they die anyway

I thought the possession limit included what was in your freezer too . So know one should have more than 60 , at least that's how it reads ? I still keep a mess but still release plenty .

Nope if you read the regulations . Possession limits only apply till you proscess them and get the to your permenant residence . I think the possesion limit it 3 limits .

    AGFC 2020/2021 guide booklet

Possession Limit − The total limit of a certain fish species that is in your possession at any time, whether on your person or stored in another location. Fish and wild game (other than migratory game birds) that have been processed and stored at a residence do not count toward a person’s possession limit. A residence is defined as a house or house trailer that is permanently in place and is owned, leased or rented by an individual; it does not include mobile travel trailers, tents, vehicles or temporary rental units (motels, lodges, cabins, resorts, etc.).

I can catch crappie on Nimrod, Blue Mountain and a few other lakes. But for me, I find Brewer hard to catch crappie on. I can catch 2 or 3 but thats about it. And I'm Livescoping, so even if they don't bite, I usually know if they are there, Just don't find many on Brewer.

The only time I have luck at brewer is early in the morning in the summer. I do good until about 8 or 9 and it shuts off. But those 3 hours are normally pretty good. As far as winter time I would have no clue how to fish it, I stick with conway in the winter
