Any suggestions on best place to get live scope installed on an aluminum boat. And what is the best Garmin unit to get to use with the live scope.

    Thanks in advance

Just depends what you want to spend . I have a 1242xsv and like bigger screen . Some that buy smaller ones upgrade to bigger . Not that complicated to install if your half way mechanically inclined and can read instructions . Most people can install in a couple hours and most charge hundreds of dollars to do it .

I installed mine, not difficult. Read the instructions, lay it out and make sure it is like you want it and then put it in. Screen size is a matter of choice. I've got the 93sv. I'm good with it.

A bit of advice . Do not use zip ties to fasten cables . Use black electrical tape as zip ties can damage cables on Transducer . The tape is what most use to hold cables to trolling motor shaft .

This is VERY sound advice. However, the newer transducers being shipped have a more robust solid round cable instead of the old thinner more flat cable and from what I am told Garmin is now saying you can use zip ties except at the pivot point on the trolling motor. They want the electrical tape there for more give I guess. All that being said, I would still just use the tape.
