    Default No bites

Went out early this morning and found the shad and crappie. There was large schools of both swimming in schools all over the area I was fishing. I could see the crappie swimming around, under and out in front of my boat but I couldn’t get one bite. I would put the jig right on their nose and they would ignore it.
    what gives??

I am 100% sure they were crappie and shad. I watched a guy in another boat use his dip net and scooped up prolly 20 fish with one dip and had 8-10 crappie in the net. I will mention that he returned the crappie back but kept the shad for catfish bait.

I agree with Nimrod, I've seen it when if you put it in front of them, then jigged it, they would just blow out of there. But if you could hold it steady enough, they would just ease up and take it in their mouth then spit it out and you'd never feel a thing. If you weren't watching them do it you'd never know.

What??? The guy just scooped crappie out of the water w/ a net??? That’s hard to believe!
