You are right there are several different ways to power LS. I chose to use the Milwaukee batteries for several different reasons. First I was completely out of space in the rear battery compartment and didn't want to put a lot of weight up front in the storage with a non lithium battery. Second, I liked the idea of having the higher voltage and I also found a good deal with online home depot and saved $220.00 on the batteries.

Want,,,,sick of my starter battery going dead.....

Bought mine at Amped Outdoors online . Several companies sell lithium and prices vary alot by brand .
