Any other names for guides? Nimrod was kind enough to give me some helpful local lake info, but he's not guiding much since the 'rona started, which I totally understand.

I think there's a guide that goes by "Conway" on this site who might can take you. Shoot him a PM and see if you get a response.I haven't talked or heard from him in a long time.

"Conway" is a great guide, but I believe is taking this season off the last time I talked to him.

Your best bet might be to get on Facebook and search AR crappie fishing. There are a lot of very knowledgeable Dard guys there that you might get hooked up with.

Well, made it back home from Dardanelle. Thoroughly enjoyed the weather, the scenery, and my guide (Charles Morrison with Classic Catch Guide Services - great guy), but the fishing was really poor. So many shad all over the lake, that the fish didn't want anything we could throw at 'em. Best I could do was catch a white perch and a handful of young bass on jerkbaits. Minnows, jigs, spinners, topwater, nothing else really worked. I hope to give it another shot in a different season, either in spring for the spawn, or in winter where the fish are more desperate. Thanks for the suggestions, y'all.
