    Default Dog days wind

I went again this morning and weather channel said 2 to 4 mph wind . But that was a mistake and the east wind was tough . Slowed before lunch and was able to hunt them down in open water once more . Kept a limit with everything over 12''. The same purple / chartreuse Umbella tube rigged on a Timmy Tom insert jig head . Swung them with Huckabee Phantom 13' jig pole . Hunted most of them down with live scope .
I had something happen that I never saw before . Hung a good fish in a top and it got hung . Tried to knock it loose and finally got the boat paddle after it . Thought I could pull the limb up . Wrong caught the line and it broke . Dang , next thing I saw was a Crappie swimming on top coming to the boat with my jig in his mouth . Reached over and picked him up .
Will post a photo later when I fillet them .

There ya go. Figured it was something like that. You done got 'en hypnotized or using black magic!! They are just giving up!!! Just not for me. I figured out one thing about my livescope.when you are in forward view and a fish appears on the right side about 20 feet away he isn't 20 feet over to the right. he is 20 feet ahead. Assuming you are aiming ahead. Also, I was using my 11 foot tree thumper because it is light and has some backbone. About every time I dropped it ended up being 6 feet out. Gonna break out a 14 footer and start casting to them with a spinning rod. That is assuming I find a few. Looked at a B&M stick at grizzly but you give up a foot of length because of the reel seat. Plus it was heavy and felt like a cue stick.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes bang when it is supposed to go click and one that goes click when it is supposed to go bang.
