tried hard today. Shirey is plumb full of shad roaming around in schools of 25 to 2000. Identified a train load of gar along with some whopper fish that I figure were silver carp but never saw any jumping. Caught 8-9 crappie none that I attribute to my Garmin. Never saw anything that appeared to be a crappie. One thing is that it never hit 9 feet in depth. I think in order to spot crappies you have to be somewhere they are abundant.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes bang when it is supposed to go click and one that goes click when it is supposed to go bang.
If you rob Peter to pay Paul, you can generally count on Paul's vote.

Hunting suspended fish in open water takes practice to learn what your looking at . I see guys saying they cant catch any in open water when several of us murdering them that way on same lake . Live scope takes practice and helps to have someone show you the ropes to get started .

Nimrod.. you've probably mentioned before, but do you have your livescope on trolling motor shaft or separate pole?

I'm thinking about selling my xi5 and getting a Minn Kota since I use Birds. I've always used the pole mount off the side, but I think it would be better having it shaft mounted. Less to keep up with.
