Arkansas river at conway
Hey guys, have not been on in ages. Just got me a new Express 1652 with 25hp Yamaha. I have heard tales of good fishing below toad suck dam on the Arkansas river. My main question is about navigation of the river. Will I have issues in my boat? My 8 year old son wants to catch catfish, but I am rather nervous about getting on the big river in this small boat.

Right now just watch for sand bars and dikes out of main channel, With no current right now about like any other lake

I have a 1650 Xpress with a 40 on it and have no problems on the river even in higher flows. As others said be careful out side the navigation channel.
