Default Ouachita state park information please

Seems I might get to visit this lake, would be cool to ketch a few crappie. Will have children on board and would be ok with whatever is biting well . Saw something about walleye, might not have a graph , might bring a portable. Even bluegill are ok with me .
Any advice or tips could be sent via PM if you dont want the ole cat out of the bag.
Thanks in advance and KABOOM is the word

I’ll be around there this week. If I figure out any fishing patterns I’ll let you know

My home lake, I’ve mentioned on others threads how good Ouachita’s bream fishing is. If you’re gonna have kids with you I’d go that route. Drop shot a cricket shot deep!

I’ve fished there a couple of times but not lately. Seems like most of the time it’s hot or it’s not. Lol. Fairly clear water so fish will be deep. If you go to the western side it should have a little more color to it but that is a ways off from the state park. A depth finder would sure be helpful. Also look on AGFC website and see if they have locations of brush piles listed. If you can find the brush piles you can cast to them and do good sometimes. I’ve read enough of your post to know that this should be right up your alley. Good luck and post some pictures for us Arkansas folks.

i think we are mainly in tourist mode , but i know at least a few crew members wanted to ketch some fish.
no trolling motor and no graph and less than experienced boat operators makes for quite a challenge to find and ketch fish .
i think i saw brush pile location maps somewhere on the internet ....thanks for the advice and information everyone

Hey Mark, Red here. We're going to try Ouachita next week. I'll let you know if I do any good.
