all in on these 2 proposals

Recommended Change #5: Require that yo-yo's must be attended during all hours (day and night).

    Justification:
This regulation would prohibit yo-yo’s from being left unattended. Currently, yo-yo’s can be left unattended (out of sight and/or sound of the angler) at night only and must be attended during daylight hours. Some misinterpretation of the attended requirement as led to difficulty enforcing this regulation, therefore this change would also define 'unattended'.
The regulation would read: A yo-yo or other mechanical fishing devices shall be deemed unattended when the user cannot be immediately located for identification therewith without leaving the location of the yo-yo or mechanical fishing device".

    Code Change: 26.21

Recommended Change #6: Require that trotlines and limblines be checked every 48 hours and removed when not in use.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I have been working on these regulations proposals for literally years. This is the first time that these proposed regulations have made it through the fisheries division and AGFC administration vetting process, to get to the public comment period. We shall see how it goes.

He definitely has been trying hard to get the yo-yo regulations pushed through.

I took the survey, and there were certain proposals I responded to with little to no regard for any one persons feeling. The yo-yo's and limbline/trotlines were both addressed with my very personal opinions. To which I figured they were entitled to since they asked for it.

I voiced my opinion on most of the proposals . A small group of locals trying to get the commission to lower the limit on Blue Mtn but from what I have seen only problem is locals that hate people from outside the area fishing '' their '' lake . It is one of several lakes I fish and know lots of people that do also that asked why ? They blame the spider riggers for overfishing their lake . I see many other much smaller lakes that it should be lowered but just my opinion . I think it is just locals afraid outsiders will come in and catch fish . Some locals actually used to ask why are you here ? Why you not fishing Nimrod ?

"when the user cannot be immediately located for identification therewith without leaving the location of the yo-yo or mechanical fishing device". lots of words subject to different interpretations in this phrase.
