Thread: The spawn

will the fish that have moved shallow for the spawn move in shallower if u have a sudden rise in water levels or will they stay put?

My experience is that if a fish is on a bed they will stay on it. I went out a week ago on a Saturday, wade fishing knee deep water I’d say 2ft deep. Went back to the same spot on that Wednesday. Water had went up 2ft. I couldn’t catch a fish in waders. Went out to where I was catching them that Saturday it was 4-5ft and started catching them. My guess is that another wave hadn’t moved shallow yet and I was still on the same fish as that Saturday. They had all camped out right where I left them.
