Thread: Kudos to AGFC

Everything helps , high water helps more than anything man can do on large impoundments . Those Threadfins hopefully take and help feed them for years . I always wondered why you hear about all the money spent on Trout and Bass but nothing on Crappie . I was told on species like Crappie they only stock new waters cause hard to beat natural reproduction with them .

Thank you Mike! We don’t normally get too much praise. When there is a lack of complaining/grumbling, we take that as a compliment. It normally means people are pretty happy. It’s funny how we normally only hear from unhappy anglers. So when we hear something positive, we really enjoy it. Thanks again.

I also got an email concerning the agfc improvements to the Roufa access on Beaver lake. Kudos again. That ramp needed improvement and enlargement. I think it’s great that the AGFC is addressing those issues. I’m very satisfied with the work the AGFC does as well as the game officers themselves. I had an opportunity to have dinner with several wardens at a fundraiser several years ago now and found them to be interesting and pleasant. I hate that there are some that bad mouth the agfc. Sure there are times that we don’t necessarily agree on where dollars should be spent, but that’s true with anyone we deal with. All in all, the AGFC does a great job.
