Default Corona Virus avoidance scouting trip .

Went out this afternoon to enjoy some nice weather . Avoid the crowds and hopefully the virus . Used livescope to do some scouting .Boat flipped a few with Huckabee Phantom 13' live scope rod . Got a little windy but caught several with 4 phat girls over 2 lbs . They bit same old Timmy Tom insert Jig head rigged with a purple/chartreuse Umbrella tube .

How many of those jigs do you go through in a year?

Probably use 1 to 6 a trip and not unusual to catch a limit most days on good lakes with a few 100 fish days . Tubes last much longer rigged on a insert head verses a barbed jig head .

Sounds like a good use of time right now. I’m hoping to get on some next week during Jacobs springs break. Should be right on several lakes if the weather will cooperate some. What kind of scale is that. Looks like a good digital readout. I like it!

I like that idea and the idea of not having to constantly push the plastic back on.

Sometimes I will miss a bite and the fish fouls the bait. I in turn have to bring it up and fix it and then drop back down. Meanwhile, that fish might stay in place for a few seconds even after the missed Hookset. The quicker the better.

I've caught several this way recently. Just because you miss don't stop looking for that fish. You know they are active and looking to eat, they liked your presentation.

    Nice catch.

Rapala Tournament scale , will read digital or lb and oz . It will store up to 8 weights and show total . Last two trips to this lake we released them all including 11 over 2 lbs

Yes tubes hold up better and with insert heads no need for painted heads
